When Romanian freestyle legend Marius Constantin decided it was time to change things up and leave his long-time sponsor, moving to Moonshine Skateboards seemed like an absolute no-brainer, and we’re proud to present his first ever pro model under the Moonshine banner.
Marius was one of the first converts to the benefits of the concaveless design of Tony Gale’s Lionheart deck, and was keen to get away from the concave present on his last pro models. As such, it’s built on the same mould as Tony Gale’s and Carmen Ionita’s decks, only extended out slightly in both directions and with the slightly wider, fuller tail Marius prefers – while keeping our trademark highly-railflippable tail tapers.
For the graphic, Monsieur “Coffee Time” returns after knocking Carmen’s “Iele” graphic out the park. This time, he’s juxtaposed another part of traditional Romanian culture – the “Capra” – with the cold, grey cityscapes the West associated with Romanian life under Ceaușescu, resulting in what we feel is quite possibly the best graphic in freestyle today.
